The department handles around 5000 outpatient cases in a month and can manage around 200 inpatients at atime.The ten-bedded and highly sophisticated medical ICU manages emergencies like acute CVA, poisoning dueto various causes like organophosphorus, copper sulphate, formic acid, etc. There is a special intensive carewing which handles snake bite poisoning with acute renal failure.
